October materialized and it was the month I have been waiting for. Why so? Because it’s my birth month. It came in very lightly and pleasantly until the time of my birthday came. By the way, me birthday for this year was on a “Friday the Thirteenth”, eerie though but I don’t care; let the happenings of this day judge if that legend is really true.
The morning of my birthday came and I was welcomed by my brother singing, “Happy Birthday to you” at the top of his lungs! It made my day! It is very seldom for me to hear this kind of greeting from a brother whom I hurt a lot (owsss...). I was flattered by that fact and when I reached school I was even happier that I thought I would be. Almost every subject, there seems to be a greeting for me. How nice. The greatest part of the day was when I reached the canteen; there were other year levels (specifically some 3rd years) who greeted me. I was in shock. Even the ngohiong vendor followed suit. I was astonished. I loved this day. It’s not every day that you get greetings like these, even for a lifetime. I thank again those people who greeted me. You know who you are, you made that day complete. Even my brother’s girlfriend gave me a gift. Haha! Simply amazing. Lesson number 8: Hope for things but do not expect for them. This results to surprises that warm our hearts. There is a big difference between hoping and expecting.
November came in as a storm. Practices for Intramurals abound left and right. First day of classes for the second semester. Two new teachers on the block. A lot of things to look forward to. Haha, it was this one new teacher who made us write something on our blog, Sir Elmer Montejo, our new English teacher (I love posting something on the blog, it makes me express a lot!).
We lost the cheer dance competition, and the pop jazz competition. But I ranked second place in the Doble Kara Competition (ü). And we ranked Champion for the over-all sports, musical and dance competition.
December came. You just don’t know how I love this month! The spirit of Christmas was truly present in each of us. Just like any other December, there is Christmas. Christmas has always been dear to me. This is the time of the year where we give gifts, show how we feel, and most especially thank God for all that has happened to us, whether good or bad. Before the Christmas break we had our Christmas party, we have actually hold this every year. This year's Christmas party was by far the most memorable and the best of them all. During the party, we could really see the happiness in everyone's eyes. Contentment in each heart and sadness in some parts of their limbic system, who could ever believe that this is, indeed, our last Christmas Party together. It went well and fun, thanks to the joined effort of Theresa and Jann in compiling trivia about our batchmates and spilling it out to the open via a guessing game. Isn't it exciting? Well, who could ever forget the endless shouts and screams after every name was revealed and the time came for the exchanging of gifts, later it was to be the Daygon contest.
